Marit resides in Garrison, North Dakota, with her husband, Darren, a native North Dakotan and Park Ranger, and their youngest son, Jed, who is finishing high school. Their oldest son, Dane, works in construction in Minnesota. Marit is grateful to call North Dakota home and is dedicated to supporting and preserving the freedoms and Christian values that make this state a great place to raise a family.
