Mark Jorritsma

Executive Director

Mark Jorritsma serves as Executive Director of North Dakota Family Alliance – a role he assumed in 2016. His professional career has included over 35 years in both the private and nonprofit sectors.

Prior to serving at NDFA in his current capacity, Mark worked at World Vision U.S. for nearly 12 years, as part of the organization’s Finance, Fundraising, and Programs Divisions.  His roles included COO responsibilities in these divisions, such as operational responsibility for divisional budgets, and coordinating strategic planning for distribution of resources to over 60 countries.

In addition to his role at World Vision, Mark was employed in various capacities at other nonprofits over the years, including Executive Vice President at the Maryland Food Bank, and Chief Operating Officer at the National Association of County and City Health Officials.  Before God called him to a career helping others in the nonprofit world, Mark worked in the consulting arena for over 10 years, culminating in owning his own successful firm that performed economic analysis, fiscal impact studies, and strategic planning.

Mark graduated from Calvin College with a B.A. Degree in Economics, and from Michigan State University with an M.A. in Economics. He is blessed with a family that includes his wife Ruth, a Certified Public Accountant, his son Christopher who works as a software engineer in Mandan, Stephanie, a recent U of J graduate, and a goofy but lovable rescue dog named Annie.

Mark is honored and humbled by God’s calling on his life to serve in his current role at NDFA, and to represent thousands of Christians across North Dakota in the policy arena. Soli Deo gloria.
